About Developers

iamslinger

iamslinger started programming about two years ago in a progrmming language called Scratch. After a while, he got bored of programming and stopped altogether. Six months later he got back into scratch. iamslinger experimented in many languages like C++, BASIC and Python before he decided that he liked Pascal.

iamslinger is a young budding musician who enjoys playing guitar and singing. He has written a couple of songs also. He also co-wrote a Christmas song last year with abudeveloper, the lead developer.

Lead developer, abudeveloper

Dawson Tennant, aka, abudeveloper, has been programming on and off for years. His first experience was on mainframes and minicomputers. In those early years he programmed in Fortran, Assembly, Basic( when he finally got a computer of his own). As an electrical engineer in a process control environment, he has programmed professionally in Fortran, Assembly, C, ladder logic, and several scripting languages.

Dawson likes singing and playing music. He plays bass guitar, guitar, drums, and a little bit of harmonica. His bandmate in the worship band wanted to have a program to transpose music. This inspired abudeveloper to consider writing a program to do this, and put some recently learned C++ skills to use. After writing the intial version of transposer, which was command line only, he decided to try his hand at writing a gui based version of the program. You can read a bit more of the development process in History.

Dedication

This project is dedicated to my friend Anthony who wanted software to transpose some songs.
