Version 0.56

On the January 30, 2012, we began uploading source files, windows installer files, and within a day or so, we uploaded our linux, and mac binaries for this version. Version 0.56 provides a bug-fix for when transposer mistakenly transposed the word ending which was on a text line all by itself in a song our friend Anthony was transposing. The program identified all the letters of the word ending as valid chord characters, and so was tricked into deciding that the line containing ending was in fact a chord line, and not a lyrics line (or in this case an instructional line). Since transposer only transposes lines it judges as chord lines, we've added a tool to let you the user take control over special words that transposer misjudges as a chord.

Now all the menu items do something, instead of just being there to look pretty. Whoops, did we ever blow it on that one before. See, we just found the window interface to be so intuitive that we forgot to connect up the menu items to do something.

TBA

We, the developers, are actively working towards a more featureful version 0.6, we are hoping to include the following goodies:
  1. more editing features, such as undo and redo
  2. the ability to print out songs
  3. sane resizing of window
  4. a help file (with tutorial?)
  5. any bug fixes we discover
  6. wishlist: ability to transpose selected parts of song only

Dedication

This project is dedicated to my friend Anthony who wanted software to transpose some songs.
